Trip is over, now poker
I got back from my trip to the USA on Monday and it was very productive in every way. First I watch the ICC in Miami, more importantly I watch Juventus play a match against Inter, as a soccer fan (Juventus) it was a great experience (even though Juventus lost at the end). And the game between Real Madrid and Chelsea was a great game too (not everyday you get to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play so it was amazing).
And as a poker player I had to take the opportunity to hit the tables (yeah I believe that I'm a poker player, maybe not professional but who knows soon enough). Ended up spending a couple of night at the Magic City Casino playing some 1/2 NLH cash tables, overall I won a little bit of money (like $70) and obviously I had to chance to practice my skill at the tables. The first session I was very nervous and ended up making a lot of mistakes... Wasn't really paying much attention to the game (big mistake). The next sessions I went better prepared; packed on my sweater, sunglasses and my iPod and it went much better, I did feel like playing at my house only listening to some music and watching my opponents do some crazy shit.
I have some new reading material: The Mental Game of Poker 1 and 2 and Small Stakes No-Limit Hold'em by Ed Miller. Just started reading The Mental Game of Poker part 1 and so far it's seems to be a very interesting book; I never really though about the mental part of the game so deeply but so far the book it's very easy to read, all you need to do is pay attention and read again the confusing parts until you get them completely.
I bought some products for the gym and I'm ready to get bigger and stronger :) now I need to start taking care of my diet and stuff but hopefully after the first two month it will pay of ;) I will begin with that next week.
I decided to play the rest of the month on Pokerstars, after all it was the first site I ever played and I feel like I own them a little (yeah it's kind of a stupid reason but I follow Pokerstars Pros, attend their forums and live training so...). I'll try to follow the bankroll management ArtySmokesPS is currently using on his challenge (he is playing micro stakes but 6-max now) and perhaps I'll post more on his forum once I begin my journey on PS ;) I'll post the next blog at the end of the month, until then see ya later gl on the tables
