Gathering my thoughts
This month has been so far a garbage one in terms of life and not so much in the poker part. Even though my main focus of this blog is just to write down my little journey through poker I can't help to use it also as a way to free some space in my mind, especially with something that is turning into a real bother for me.
Went to a different doctor on Tuesday and he confirmed the diagnosis, need to start treatment or the arthritis will/could spread to the rest of my joints. The treatment consist on an steroid for the pain and a anti-rheumatic drug for the arthritis. The 2nd one comes with a disgusting number of side effect that may or may nor appear. Already past the shock and/or sadness of the news and decided to focus on other things to distract myself from the shitty events, surprisingly poker has help with that as twisted as it sounds.
Couldn't play on every single day last week but I did had some good sessions happening pushing the BR to that $500 mark AKA the shot taking point on Thursday. Woke up bit a severe back pain on Friday so couldn't start that day and Saturday was busy from early morning so I was too tired to play. After a lot of thinking and a bit of preparation I went and fired a few NL20 tables and moved from there. Played for an hour maybe and didn't check results but I'm pretty sure I made close to a buy-in. My mind started to wander off and decided it was better to just book the win, feel better about myself and my game and then just play some video games as a reward. There's an Overwatch event and the party was only, what do you want from me? LOL.
Finished listening to a podcast from Joey Ingram with Matt Berkey, really enjoying The Poker Life Podcast a lot and already started another one. Even if some are 3 hours long I really like to just chill, listen to the conversations and relax a bit. Also doing pretty good on my italian lessons so I'm happy about it. Will load the DB to the laptop now and focus on playing some NL20 after lunch. Probably will do a month review later this week, hope to deliver some good news by then.
